Concerts du Midi, Brussels, Belgium

Programme 'Music and Architecture, Art Nouveau'

This programme is an example of personal cross art projects of Irina Lankova. The works of Fauré, Debussy, Satie and Jongen that she is going to play in one of the jewels of the Art nouveau architecture in Brussels will immerse the listener in the very particular universe of an artistic movement which is born in Europe at the twilight of the nineteenth century.

In Art Nouveau, everything is movement, sliding, vibration. Whether minor or major, the arts participate, without any hierarchy, in a global aesthetic design in the service of everyday use.

Irina Lankova's desire is to create a link between the music she plays and the singular place brought together through a brief introduction by the artist. She wants to accompany the public so that he is an auditor into a reflection on the meaning of artistic creation.
